Mumbai: Vi Business IoT Innovation Lab has been officially launched by Vi Business – the enterprise arm of telecom operator Vi – in partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT).
The Lab, located in Mumbai, is designed to accelerate enterprise innovation through co-creation and deployment of Internet of Things (IoT)-based solutions.
With India’s digital economy entering a high-growth phase driven by AI, IoT, and 5G technologies, the Vi Business IoT Innovation Lab aims to empower enterprises, start-ups, and device manufacturers to develop, test, and scale industrial IoT use cases.
These span across sectors such as BFSI, IT/ITES, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, retail, governance, healthcare, and smart cities.

The Lab showcases connected vehicle solutions, energy-efficient smart grids, and smart manufacturing enabled by real-time monitoring and edge AI.
Combining Vi Business’ connectivity, AWS’s cloud infrastructure, and C-DOT’s expertise in national IoT standards, the Lab enables businesses to accelerate go-to-market timelines, reduce operational costs, and improve overall efficiencies.

India’s IoT market, valued at $2.89 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $10.28 billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of 23.2%.
With over 1.59 lakh DPIIT-recognised start-ups contributing to the digital innovation wave, the Vi Business IoT Innovation Lab is set to become a key enabler for scalable, standards-based solutions driving India’s Industry 4.0 journey.
